Terms of Service
Effective date: September 27, 2026
Welcome to Trail Running in China (domain trailrunninginchina.com / iyueye.cn, including the website and the WeChat mini program, together the "Service"). The Service is operated by Guangzhou Bingfeng Information Technology Co., Ltd. ("we"). These terms are the agreement between you and us for your use of the Service. Please read these terms carefully before using the Service, in particular the clauses that exempt or limit our liability. By starting to use the Service you are deemed to have read and agreed to these terms in full. If you do not agree, please stop using the Service.
1. What the Service Is
The Service is an aggregation and lookup platform for trail running race information. It provides:
- Browsing and searching race information, with pointers to registration entry points, results and live-tracking links;
- Helper tools such as race plans (roadbooks) and training plans;
- Lookup and display of third-party runner results data such as ITRA and UTMB;
- Favourites and wishlist, race comparison, race-companions intent board, and race information feedback.
Please note in particular: we only provide information aggregation and tools. We are not the organiser, host or registration agent of any race. Holding a race, registration, fees, refunds, results and prizes are all the responsibility of the respective organiser or registration platform. Race information shown in the Service comes from public sources and user submissions; we verify it where we can but do not guarantee its completeness, accuracy or timeliness — always defer to the official information published by the race organiser. Some features of the Service are paid; see Section 7 for the applicable rules.
2. Account and Sign-in
- Some features (favourites sync, posting companions intents, submitting feedback) require signing in with WeChat.
- Keep your WeChat account safe; you are responsible for actions taken through your account. If you notice your account being used by someone else or any other security risk, contact us promptly.
3. User Conduct
When using the Service you must comply with the laws of the People's Republic of China and must not:
- Use crawlers, scripts or other automated means to bulk-scrape or copy the Service's data or content;
- Submit false, incorrect or misleading race information, links or feedback;
- Post content that is illegal, infringes others' lawful rights, contains advertising, or is unrelated to race companions;
- Interfere with or disrupt the normal operation of the Service, or attempt to bypass its security mechanisms;
- Use the Service's data or content for commercial purposes (including but not limited to resale, sublicensing, or building a similar platform in bulk) without our prior written permission.
If you breach these rules, we may remove the relevant content and, depending on severity, restrict or terminate the Service for you.
4. Content and Intellectual Property
- The interface design, program code, data compilations and original copy of the Service are owned by us or the corresponding rights holders.
- Race names, race logos, course photos and similar content belong to the respective organisers or rights holders; the Service quotes them only to the extent necessary for displaying information.
- Third-party results data shown in the Service (ITRA, UTMB, etc.) comes from those organisations' public information; rights in that data belong to those organisations, and the Service uses it only for display and lookup convenience.
5. Third-Party Links and Race Registration
Registration links, results links and organiser websites in the Service point to third-party platforms. Any action you take on those platforms (registration, payment, refunds, submitting personal information) is governed by that platform's own rules and privacy policy; we cannot control it and accept no responsibility for it.
Before registering and paying, verify the race information, the organiser's credentials and the registration terms yourself. If you find information that is wrong, let us know through Feedback.
6. Disclaimers
- Trail running involves physical risk. The Service does not provide race registration, organisation, insurance or rescue services and accepts no responsibility for your safety during a race. Assess your own condition and prepare adequately before racing.
- Race category data (actual distance, cumulative elevation, cutoff times, etc.) is compiled, recognised and entered by us from public race information, registration pages, and the text or images of official rules. Errors, outdated entries or mismatches with an organiser's latest rules can occur. Race plans, segment paces, target times and training advice generated from that data are algorithmic estimates for reference only — they are not a basis for race decisions or a promise of any finishing time. Always defer to the official rules and latest announcements published by the organiser; if you spot a data error, tell us through Feedback and we will verify and correct it.
- The output of tools such as race plans, training plans and performance predictions is based on public data and algorithmic estimation. It is for reference only and is neither professional coaching advice, medical advice, nor a promise of any finishing time.
- We are not liable for the Service being temporarily unavailable due to force majeure, network failures or third-party outages, but we will do our best to restore it.
- To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect losses or lost profits arising from use of or inability to use the Service.
7. Paid Services and Refunds
Some features of the Service are paid (for example Race Plan Pro, the ITRA Potential Report, and the Calendar Pro annual pass). These are provided and charged by us directly; refunds are governed by this section.
Please distinguish these from race entry fees: entry fees are charged by the race organiser or its designated registration platform, and any refund follows that platform's rules — nothing to do with us (see Section 5).
Note that these paid services fall under Article 25 of the Consumer Rights Protection Law of the People's Republic of China as digitised goods (online software, etc.) to which the 7-day no-reason return does not apply. The refund windows in this section are a service commitment we make voluntarily on top of that.
(a) One-time purchases
- Within 24 hours of a successful payment, and provided you have not yet exported or otherwise obtained the content, you may request a full refund;
- If you have already exported or otherwise obtained the content, the service is deemed fully delivered and is not refundable;
- Requests made more than 24 hours after payment will not be accepted.
(b) Calendar Pro annual pass
- Within 7 calendar days of payment, provided you have not used any Pro benefit (no Pro race plan generated or exported, no ITRA Potential Report generated), you may request a full refund;
- After 7 calendar days, or once any Pro benefit has been used, a pro-rata refund applies: refund = amount paid × remaining days ÷ 365, rounded to the smallest currency unit;
- If the remaining validity is less than 7 days, pro-rata refunds are no longer accepted.
(c) How to request and how long it takes
- Send a refund request through the contact channels listed at the bottom of this page and include your order number; to verify the order we may also ask for the WeChat account used for the purchase.
- We will review and respond within 3 business days. Approved refunds go back through the original payment channel.
- The time for the money to arrive depends on the payment channel's settlement cycle, usually 1 to 3 business days.
- Once a refund succeeds, the corresponding service entitlement ends at the same time.
This section does not affect other rights you have by law. If the service itself failed to work and you could not actually use what you paid for, contact us and we will handle it according to the circumstances.
8. Changes, Interruptions and Termination of the Service
We may change, suspend or terminate all or part of the Service for business adjustments, maintenance or legal reasons. For free services we may make such adjustments with reasonable advance notice.
If you breach these terms, we may immediately suspend or terminate your access to the Service.
9. Updates to These Terms
We may update these terms as our business and the law evolve. The latest version and its effective date will be published on this page. If an update significantly affects your rights, we will notify you prominently. Continued use of the Service means you accept the updated terms.
10. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These terms, their validity, interpretation and performance, and any disputes arising from them are governed by the laws of the People's Republic of China.
Disputes arising from these terms shall first be resolved through friendly negotiation; if negotiation fails, either party may bring a lawsuit before the people's court with jurisdiction at the operator's domicile (Guangzhou, Guangdong, People's Republic of China).
11. Contact Us
If you have any questions, comments or complaints about these terms, contact us through the channels listed at the bottom of this page.
